Open year-round, this
premiere exhibition of over 300 life size wax figures (and much more) is
conveniently located in the heart of downtown, on Victoria's Inner
Harbour, across from the Parliament Buildings. This is also home to the
Penny Lane Sweet Shop - "The Wax Museum's sweet finale"!

Young Queen
Victoria reigns over the lobby from her podium, but several other wax
figures greet you as well. Our perennial tourist, Mr. Peabody, is often
seated somewhere near the entrance - perhaps near Victoria's founder,
Sir James Douglas.
Honor guards in the lobby area are 2
British Bobbies and 2 members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
Terry Fox also holds a place of honor in the lobby area.

Between Friends" aptly
describes this gathering of North American Leaders past and present. We
should find pride in living either side of the 49th parallel, the
longest undefended international border in the world.

Outstanding inventors and
eminent scientists are portrayed in the Knoll of Knowledge exhibition.
Included are Alexander Graham Bell, Thomas Alva Edison, Henry Ford, Sir
Frederick Banting and Albert Einstein.
|
Children's books are
brought to life in Storybook Land. Favorite characters step out
off the page so you can whistle "Hi-Ho" to Snow White and the Seven
Dwarves, witness the Mad Hatter's Tea Party, and even go Somewhere Over
the Rainbow to visit Dorothy and Friends.
