This review is a description of the excellence of the
set up of my room here for work and non-work. On my
recent visit my company booked through

FYI, I have stayed in a lot of the best hotels in the
world on business, and this is by far and away the best
experience I have ever had.
Refurbished Rooms Excellent for Work and Non-Work
Although fate may give me some comeuppance later, at the
present time I have the great good fortune of being a
patent attorney with exceptionally well-heeled clients.
The good news is that I can afford to stay in places
like this; the not-so-good news is that the price of
that is that I am more-or-less on 24 hour call for my
clients.

I have had to work quite a bit on this trip, and let me
tell you, this room is built for work efficiency. First,
there is a large white built in desk with a maroon
backing, and built into that are an Ethernet cable for
your computer (there is also Wi-Fi, which I have hooked
into my smart phone), vga adapter and hdmi cables to
allow me to use the large screen LG flat panel as my
monitor, and audio and other cables all of which can be
used to drive the large screen TV from my notebook. The
cables are spring loaded and retract into their slots
when you are done with them. Very nice facilities
engineering!!

The color scheme is very good, in that it helps you keep
your focus when you have to work in your room.
The internet connection is very fast (a service called
XL), and there is no additional fee for using ether the
Ethernet cable or the Wi-Fi (wireless). I have had to
work quite a bit on this trip, and the convenience of
the desk, very thoughtful cable connections, and super
fast internet has made this easier.
With respect to reading in bed, there are hard mounted
super-bright LED lights which are perfectly positioned
next to each side of the queen size bed in this room, so
if you want to read until falling asleep without
bothering your bedmate, you will really appreciate this.
On the non-work front, the rooms are exceptionally
clean, and the glass enclosed shower has excellent
shower head. Shampoos and soaps were excellent.

Hotel Gym/Pool Best I Have Ever Seen
Usually, hotel gyms are pretty depressing, crammed away
in some forgotten corner for which the hotel had no
other use. This one is not. This well-designed gym looks
out onto the pool. The pool is enclosed in a large glass
atrium, which looks out onto the harbor (beautiful). The
equipment in the gym is first rate, obviously new, and I
was so impressed with the elliptical I was using that I
think I am going to buy one. Brand, I think, was Omni
something, and model was Pro 340. Sorry that I forgot
details on this.
The barbells are nice, but there are not free weights
for benching. However, the machines were good for
machines.
All things considered, this is the best experience I
have ever had in a hotel.
First rate. I hope that the management of this hotel
will do something for the people who made this hotel
experience my best one ever. |
