We booked this hotel for the location and price. The location is great, hotel is
nice and rooms look good. But I didn't sleep at all really during my stay. The
beds are not great at all. The hotel advertiser's free coffee and newspaper, got
the paper but no coffee. We were told we have to leave the flyer out. But only
flyer in the room is the 'do not disturb' sign. Not really a big deal. There is
no parking at all in the hotel, we had to pay an extra $25 for 2 days parking.
They are the 1st and only hotel to take full payment before we arrived. Found
that a bit strange as hotels dont usually do this until afterward you've
arrived. I wouldn't stay in this hotel again, and i think people should look
else where. We had no Breakfast either.. We also asked for a room with a view..
We got one, facing the next building around 5 ft away from our window and no
views.

The Bedford Regency is in a great location in the heart of downtown Victoria.
There is a Cafe Artigiano in the lobby - great lattes. It is an old hotel
without a lot of amenities but the rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. We
were able to check in early and check out late without hassle and were even
upgraded when we got there from a standard room to a deluxe for no apparent
reason. So if you are in Victoria to see the sights and be out a lot, this is a
great reasonably priced place to stay

The rooms are cosy, quirky, clean and roomy. The rest of the hotel doesn't have
much to it, the lobby is pretty nondescript. If you need a nice room in a good
location then it is more than adequate.
If you are looking for a five star don't stay here. This is a small older hotel
with lots of charm. I love the location. Right out the front door is the Bay
Center and lots of great shops and restaurants. This is one of my favorite
hotels.

I stayed here with my brother for a night and the location was great. The rooms
are really shabby and the noise level of the downtown area could be a little
loud for the light sleepers. There is no breakfast and the parking is 4 blocks
away with limited access to the lot and you have to pay? omg how horrible! there
is a cute little coffee bar in the lobby and a gay lounge on the second floor
with pool tables. All in all we had a great time and it was a safe and
convenient hotel. Ju at the front desk as very nice and took care of me during
our stay . He is a great employee. |
