very good - I have stayed here numerous times We stayed for one night and we
were pleased to find that the reviews on here were accurate. This is an older
motel, but the rooms are clean and the beds Very comfortable, the staff,
friendly and helpful. Even though it is close to a busy highway we found it
quiet, the rooms at the back are quieter

We stayed here a week. Check-in was handled by an older man, clearly the owner,
who was very pleasant and welcoming. Our room was on the second floor and had a
small balcony facing the side street. (Which means there was a large sliding
door to get onto it, giving us as much fresh air as we wanted, a plus with us).
The room itself was a standard-size, meaning about 30 square meters, and in good
condition. Beds were comfortable, linen was spotless. The room was however a
little dated, having a cathode ray TV although it did have a fridge, microwave
and coffee machine.
There was plenty of hanging and shelf space space. The bathroom was spotless and
in excellent condition.
What attracted us most was the price, which was way below the competition. I
mentioned this to the owner who just grinned and said "I have a full house every
night".
There is a mall across the street and fast food very close by. There's also a
small restaurant on the premises which unfortunately closes mid-afternoon.
Groceries are a little harder to find: the nearest store (a Wal-Mart) is about a
kilometer away.
I have to make mention of Chantelle, a housekeeper who went above and beyond
every day. She's a hilarious gem and a real asset to the property. The acid test
is "would we stay here again?" and the answer is a resounding yes.

Me and my husband were in need of a place to stay for the night as our other
option was cancelled unannounced. The staff at Blue Ridge were very
understanding and accommodated us with a fully equipped 1 queen bed. We were
surprised that the facility included a pool and hot tub as well! Over all, the
staff were all very nice and treated us with respect. Definitely will return!

This is our fourth trip consistently happy. Rooms were clean: (no signs of bed
or any other type of bugs.). Big feather pillows and soft comfy mattress made
for a good nights sleep. The rooms are a bit dated, but very serviceable.
Fridge, microwave & coffee maker were essential, as I had my kids with me! Made
breakfasts & snacks economical and easy. Pool was a great relaxer after a busy
day sightseeing, but bring your own blow dryer & iron if you want one- they say
they have them in the room but they don't.

Although a ways out of town, it is very convenient on the bus line. A fantastic
mall is right across the street (includes food court), rooms large and very
clean. Bedding, pillows and mattress were very comfortable. You can't beat the
price!! Employees very helpful and friendly. Computer available in lobby,
Denny's, Starbucks and KFC next door. On site breakfast but we didn't try it. If
you go to Butchart Gardens, take the CVS bus for sure!!! Only 10 dollars each
way. Kiosk in downtown Victoria, also include the city tour, well worth it!!
Free tour of parliament building was great! City bus is excellent and goes
everywhere! We walked along the shore on every walkway and you can get some
excellent shots of the area.....everyone is so healthy and happy. Very friendly
city :) Bring a jacket, I was cold!!!

Recommends Butchart Gardens, sunken garden is exceptional. City tour on the bus
you can get off and on so you can see more. Downtown is beautiful, Empress Hotel
and Parliament building you should to into. Lots of history. Shopping
everywhere, plenty of restaurants. Go out to the harbors, Oak Bay and Zero
mile....great views!

I have stayed here 3 times in the last couple of years. i come back because it
is clean and safe for women to stay at. and a very good price. It is an older
style hotel but well maintained with newer bathrooms. The front desk staff are
very nice and efficient. We now ask for a room near the back to get away from
the busy street noise. Have not used the small pool or the small restaurant.
Free parking. It is on the bus route to downtown but there is a large mall
across the street and my favorite restaurant Macaroni Grill, now Luca's.
Room Tip: rooms in the back are much quieter, easier to find parking too if you
drive under the canopy.

Not the Ritz but the hotel is clean, comfortable and convenient. Was here over
the Thanksgiving weekend while visiting family and found everything to be in
great shape for an older motel. If you're not too concerned about fancy
amenities but insist on good front desk staff, a manager who you'll actually see
around the property and a clean, comfortable room then don't hesitate to book
here. Great if you have a car to get around the city and just plan on using the
room for sleeping. Very good value for money!

Great service at the front desk both check in and out. Young energetic staff
willing to offer guidance on where to eat and where to park in downtown. Most
comfortable bed too. Good location, great price. Will be back. |
