We arrived Friday April 6 , 2012, for 2 days to celebrate our 25th anniversary.
At our arrival to the room, we realize that the room wasn't well clean, so went
we went out for supper we ask the clerk at the front desk to get the room clean,
we arrived late that night, and left early in the morning asking the front desk
to have the room clean again, and at our surprise that evening the room was
still durty. They offer us breakfast for two and they told us that they were
sorry for the inconvenience!!!!
It was a bad experience for our 25th anniversary.

Location and rates unbeatable, views amazing, and quite clean but boy does this
hotel need some renovations. The beds were not very comfortable the furniture
should be tossed to the curb and the carpets NEED replacing; but on the upside
the housekeeping ladies were wonderfully accommodating and a pleasure to deal
with. (which is more than I can say for the gentleman we dealt with at front
desk)
For a simple hotel room and a short stay I would recommend this hotel as the
rates and location more than made up for these flaws.

I recently stayed at the Huntingdon Hotel in Victoria for one night with family,
after finding a great deal on Expedia - cheaper than the 4 of us staying in a
hostel.
The hotel itself was average, nice clean room, everything you need from a simple
hotel room. Service was good - staff responded to requests (teapot of boiling
water & extra mugs) quickly. The location was absolutely excellent - right on
Victoria's Inner Harbour and minutes walking distance to downtown and main
attractions. The deal on Expedia was great, making this excellent value for the
location, I would recommend it.
One thing that was a shame - hot tub was out of order when we were there

The desk staff was great, but the room had issues.
It seems that the cleaning/maintenance staff may be sub-par. I found a few bits
of someone's trail mix and a discarded pen on the floor, so the room was clearly
not vacuumed well. The tv remote had no batteries or battery cover (the desk
staff replaced this quickly and efficiently). The phone looked like it came out
of the as-is bin at a pawn shop.
Great location and desk staff, but I don't think I'll be back.

If I could score this 2.5 stars I would. I had a pleasant stay, the hotel is
located right on the harbour in a fantastic location, the staff were excellent
(helpful and friendly) and there is free wi-fi. The rooms and the hotel
generally are very badly dated. My room had dirty marks on the floor and
wallpaper was peeling off the walls. Sleep quality was also poor, with thin
walls and very loud noises coming from what I assume was the plumbing. |
