We just got back from a week in Victoria at the Royal
Scot. Service was excellent, staff are engaging and
ready to help out. The free shuttle in the downtown core
was appreciated. The ability to check in early was also
a help.
It was clean and quaint, we'd definitely stay here
again.

Loved the hotel. Close to most places in Victoria, also
the shuttle will drop you off at downtown locations.
Felt very welcome.

We stayed for one night.
Great location! Very close to the waterfront and BC
parliament building.
Room clean.
My son has severe allergies (including to dust) and he
had no issues with the room.
Bathroom was a bit small for my liking. But manageable.
Was told they have a free shuttle to close by
destinations. If I stayed longer I would have used the
shuttle service.
Friendly staff.
Ate at Oak Bay Marina restaurant. My spouse sampled the
tasting menu. Not bad.
I would likely stay again.

We came to Vic for a long weekend. The hotel could not
be easier to get to. Just walk off the ferry and ur
basically there. We were upgraded to a studio which was
very roomy. The decor is a little dated but EVERYTHING
was very clean and cozy. Like staying a friends house.
While we didn't really use the kitchen much it was nice
to have. Downside, it was a little hot in our room
despite cranking the thermostat down so we just opened a
window. Also, the bathroom was tiny. You really could
only have one person in there at a time. Upside...super
staff! Plus free shuttle! We took one or two trips a day
and then would walk back. Please make sure to get a
picture with Scotty...the Big white bear. That's one of
our fav from the trip:)

It was to be a one night stopover in Victoria, not a
visit, so I wanted a cheap bed for the night before
heading for the ferry to Port Angeles. There were those
in the $60+ range which had reviews that would state
problems with "hair in bed" etc. Well, I took the next
level up on this one and it was perfect. Even though we
were just in for one night they upgraded up to a suite.
It was clean, quiet, the front desk was more than
helpful, and the location was perfect. The kitchen
allowed us to eat something early without having to pay
for a breakfast in a restaurant and the location just
around the corner from the ferry allowed us to get there
in a timely manner. I don't think anyone needs more than
this for a great stay in the city since it's close to
everything downtown. |
