Awful experience i ever had - no hot water in the middle of shower, toilet got
stuck front desk nobody can come to fix. A guy called Kim Fraelic is extremely
rude, refused to help and also insist he is the senior manager of the resort. it
is the worst experience i have ever had, DO NOT waste money there!!

My husband and I spent 4 nights for golf, April 4-8, 2012. We were upgraded via
SPG points to a 1bdrm suite in Fairways building. The location was excellent,
close to golf, restaurants, pubs, and the pool. We had underground parking and a
golf course view, 1.5 baths. The suite was much larger than we needed, with a
full kitchen, (stove, DW, fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, basic
dishes). There is not a mini bar. We went to Jack's place pub (1 minute walk) 4
times, and would have gone again if time allowed. We had lunch in the Masters
lounge in clubhouse building (1 min walk away), and breakfast at the Italian
restaurant. All meals were excellent, both in service and quality. Kitchen
allows you to do basic cooking, or order takeout from Jack's. At the bottom of
the Bear Mountain Hill (5 min drive) there are 2 bars, a beer/liquor store,
grocery store, drugstore, and mall with Golf Town etc. We golfed and ate
elsewhere in Victoria, but could easily have stopped on the way to Bear mountain
and picked uip supplies for the room, and never left the resort.
King bed was great, TV's in living room and bedroom, living room also has a pull
out couch that we did not use. We did not use room service, as restaurants were
so close, and Jack's offers take out. (try the sushi platter, burgers, fish and
chips or pizza, all were outstanding!). We found excellent value with the stay
and play package, and cannot wait until out next visit. The staff were
outstanding, from front desk, to cleaning, to pool/hot tub area and pro shop

Really beautiful property and wonderful rooms. Very new and clean. But there is
not much to do here. We came for 4 nights over Spring Break and this giant
complex was a ghost town. The pool is pretty small for such a large property. It
must be swamped in the summer ! We paid to upgrade to a 1 bedroom suite and it
was great-really roomy with a full kitchen. My only complaint is I think they
should have given us a nicer view. I stay at Starwood properties a lot and
usually get upgraded. This place was seriously deserted-yet they put my family
in a room over looking the parking lot and garbage dumpsters. Every morning
little electric carts backed up to the dumpsters-beep beep and then clang
clang-really ??? There are rooms with lovely views of the mountains or golf
course. Also if you are planning on spending lots of time in downtown Victoria
you are about 30 mins away.

Upon arrival at Bear Mountain resort and Spa I was greeted with excitement. As a
Platinum member with Starwood, (SPG.com) I was upgraded to a beautiful suite.
Working: The room was large and included a beautiful kitchen, dining and living
area. Off that room was a very large Master Bedroom. The suite had a bath and a
half with 2 large Walk in closets. Dining was fantastic at hotel.
Not working. The room did not face the beautiful Golf Course.
Missing. I only wish I had more than the overnight to enjoy the lovely room and
amenities. Would recommend and will return. |
