It doesn't take a genius to figure out that this is an older hotel. Thankfully
its been flawlessly kept up, so even if the decor is dated, the rooms are
squeaky clean. Didn't use the pool, so can't comment on that. Didn't need the
staff for anything beyond checking in and out; they were very friendly and gave
no hassle. Transit-friendly if you know the bus routes. Failing that it takes
about 20 minutes to walk downtown. Stayed here over a long weekend and will do
so again.
Room Tip: one of the "back rooms" (ie through the breezeway) back up onto a car
dealership, so less ambient noise in those.

Pros: clean, nice staff, can do currency exchange, bus to downtown right outside
Cons: I wouldn't quite say it's walk able to downtown. Our non-smoking room had
a window above an ashtray outside, which didn't prove to be an issue during our
stay (we just shut the window when we left for the day).
Overall would stay here again if affordable places right in the heart of
downtown are booked.

We stayed here while in Victoria. It is very central to a plastic surgery
clinic, the Mayfair mall, Dennys, Kentucky Fried Chicken etc... Not too far to
the inner harbor. Clean, quiet rooms. Very friendly staff.

I have worked in hotels for years with this job I have also stayed in many
hotels. I must say this was one of the best experiences I have ever had. It was
clean and the staff you couldn't help but fall in love with the. We traveled
with 5 kids youngest being 6 the oldest being 15, the staff made up and extra
bed on the floor at last minute. We had a late night chill the front desk staff
was so kind to run us up some more blankets and was quick to ask if there was
anything else they could do for us. I can't wait to go back there again and
again.

This motel had everything we needed, staff were friendly, rooms were clean and
big. It was just a bit too far out and on a main road next to a car dealership.
Downtown is walkable and the friendly reception staff showed as an alternative
route from just walking down Douglas St, it took us along the coast and was far
prettier. It takes around 30 mins to walk into downtown and there are buses
running from just outside for anybody not wanting to walk. They also offer a
courtesy shuttle bus upon request.
