Hotel Review of the Embassy Inn Victoria BC

We visited the Embassy Inn for 2 nights as part of a trip to Victoria to try a
different room/suite hotel from our usual haunt. The price was right, the room
was clean, the bed comfortable and the staff friendly. The location is excellent
since it is just behind the legislature and steps away from the harbour. It is a
basic type of place, no frills in the room we were in, so my "excellent" rating
reflects the value for the price - not the perks included in the room! All in
all- The Embassy was OK, but we will go back to our usual haunt!

It may not be the fanciest hotel in the area, but the rates are great, and the
rooms are spotlessly clean, which for me goes a very long way.

Room was in the "older" section so it was not as updated as I was expecting.
Also, there was no wireless internet in my room, although I understand there is
available in the newer section. My room did have a small kitchen which was a
plus! Bed (king size) was very comfortable and lots of big comfy pillows. I
would stay at this hotel again - it is so convenient to everything.

Although the location of this hotel is great i was disappointed in the rooms! I
stayed here based on the pictures offered on this site. I wanted a flat screen
HDMI tv and every room picture had one. I needed it for a setup i was doing to
show a presentation to someone. However The rooms i got were not nearly as nice
as represented! I got a little crt tv. I asked the front desk to put me in a
room with a flat screen tv and i got an old crt flat screen. Too frustrated to
do any more i went to another place to do what i needed to do. The rooms were
not that nice either?

Nice room, very good value for price, free parking in downtown is impossible to
find! Great location, so near everything and easy to walk. When we checked in,
the front desk staff member admitted that he was new and had to ask a supervisor
for an answer to a question we had, but was so friendly and helpful that it
didn't matter! Nice breakfasts in restaurant.
