Review of the Fairmont Empress Hotel Victoria

I've stayed at several places In Victoria over the years, but this by far was my
most enjoyable visit...
Right from when I got out of my vehicle to check-in everything went smoothly.
The professional and courteous doorman, concierge and front desk staff. I didn't
have have time for "High Tea" or to have a drink in the Bengal Lounge but I
highly recommend both as I have enjoyed both when I lived in Victoria and I took
many friends and family for the experience...
Thank you Fairmont Empress for providing with a great place to stay on my last
visit to Victoria, I look forward to seeing you again later this year

We took the Clipper boat from Seattle to Victoria. That was excellent. The
Empress was a 5 minute walk from the dock. We upgraded to the gold level and it
was so worth it. The room was just upgraded. The bathroom was nicer that home. A
must stay !

this hotel is a legend. Got a courtyard view room which was large and perfectly
redone with all guest thoughts in mind. Gold floor staff amazing and hors deurve
and cont breakfast spread fabulous.
would recommend booking a harbour view as they will not upgrade you for free.
Lounge has a harbour view however. a nice chocolate amenity delivered for
Fairmont gold guests

Wonderful location & common areas (ie dining rooms etc) rooms small & dated.
Staff very helpful & pleasant. Stay for views, location & ambience...not the
rooms!!

I loved this hotel for its historic value and the hotel staff were very good. No
desk or chair was a challenge if you have work to do like I did, I ended up
putting my laptop on the nightstand & pulling the overstuffed chair over which
was not comfortable proposition. |
