Thank you to all the staff, from the front desk to maintenance . Stayed with a
hockey team and we had a great time because the staff really took care of us
during all hours. The hotel is a little dated but has an 'old English' character
about it. Other hotels in the area are sometimes more than twice the cost, been
to 'em, but offer the same. Clean and walking distance to all what downtown has
to offer. There was only one place in mind to stay when the ferries were
cancelled. Its a great place to crash for the night or a weekend with some
buddies, and I defiantly recommend you stay here if your all about service.

The service we received from the staff was excellent. Every year, we go to
Victoria for a hockey tournament, and as a team, we try to have fun but it
usually hard to have 15 guys in a hotel room without "making noise" until late
at night without disturbing the other guests. The Huntingdon staff was very good
at finding us a spot that we could all be together without disturbing the hotel
guests.
We also had to stay an extra night due to ferries cancellation, The had no
problem checking us back for an extra night!
We would have no problems going back there next year, good job Huntingdon's
staff!

Arrived on Thursday night with a hockey team and stayed 4 nights. The staff were
all exceptional and went the extra mile in catering to all of our needs. This
hotel is older but is very clean and has everything a newer big hotel chain has
to offer. I don't often brag about anything that cost me money but the value and
service at his hotel was better than any place we have ever stayed as a hockey
team. Special thanks go out to Cheryl and Erin who worked very hard in keeping
us updated with any changes to the ferry schedule on the Sunday we were to
depart. We ended up coming back and staying an extra night as the ferries were
all cancelled that day of our scheduled departure. Cheryl and Erin did a great
job of getting us checked back in. Would also like to say thank you to Bob the
maintenance guy who also contributed ion a big way to making our stay a pleasant
experience. Overall a very good hotel with a great location and exceptional
staff. Thank you so much for your hospitality and we will see you all again on
our next trip.

I booked a great non-refundable rate through Expedia for the Huntingdon suite
before reading reviews of bed bugs. Well let's just say I spent the whole weeks
stay itching and checking the mattress every day. I did find a bug trap under
the bed with dead bugs stuck to it but no bed bugs were found in the bed!
The maid service wasn't that great. After the fourth day I had to strip my own
bed to get clean sheets. One day we had no bath mat or soap. The next day the
kitchen garbage was left full. Dirty bathroom floor and toilet seat. It's
definitely not a 3 star hotel. There's no attention to detail. The furniture is
old, carpet old and stained. Room smells musty. The kitchen wasn't that well
stalked, everything was old. I liked the idea of the upstairs loft bedroom. It
could be a really cool suite if updated. I wouldn't stay here again. |
