Review of the Marriott Hotel Victoria Inner Harbor
1 March 2012
I returned to stay in another clean and comfortable room, but was disappointed
by the room service. i was working on a deadline and needed to not waste time
worrying about dinner and breakfast. For dinner I ordered a lamb burger and clam
chowder. What showed up was clam chowder (quite good) and a turkey club
sandwich. This is all the more surprising because the order taker took the time
to check with the chef that there wss no poultry base in the clma chowder, since
I'm allergic. She then sent me a turkey club along with that poultry free soup!
I used a door hanger to order breakfast. The menu choices included fresh
squeezed orange juice. What arrived was fresh out of a carton. Then when I went
to check out 2 hours later, the breakfast charge had not been posted to my bill.
It took 10 minutes to get this done, delaying me for a very important meeting.
I'd stay here again, but I wouldn't order room service based on this snafu.

This hotel was quiet, clean, well maintained and safe. Really liked the downtown
location. Near bus station for quick transport to Vancouver. Close to Beacon
Hill Park and Pacific coast line walking path. Also great bike rental place a
block away. Room was just over $100 per night which I thought was great. Only
minor down side was room service menu which didn't have as many seafood choices
or low fat options.

I HIGHLY Recommend Staying at the Marriott .We went for our honeymoon it was so
nice the hotel surprised us with 2 mini bottles of champagne and chocolate,
Hands down best service i have ever experienced at a hotel!!!
Best staff ever i remember a African man who waved to us as we pulled in, was so
friendly as were all the staff we encountered !!!!
It was decently priced as well in my view for being downtown. We were on the
concierge level corner suite the price was worth it we had a GORGEOUS ROOM Lots
of light with floor-ceiling windows & had a great view .Really enjoyed the perks
i loved the midday/late night snack/dessert. Loved how the sink area in our room
was separate from the toilet/shower area( toilet & shower were in their own lil
room), living area was spacious with a lil kitchen area 2 couches and a tv with
a nice table and chairs for eating, it was nicely decorated, Our room was lovely
bed was so comfy!!!!. Very clean as well, FREE WIFI
Central to alot of tourist attractions we walked everywhere. Only time we used
the car was to go to the castle.
We also dined 1 night at Fire & Water Fish and Chophouse at the hotel , It is
more in my opinion Fine Dining but the food was amazing, lil pricey but very
worth it. Customer service was great! Dress code id say is dressy casual. Room
service was awesome we had a great breakfast one morning a well! Cant say enough
good things ill be a repeat guest and will only stay here when i go to Victoria
again.

Been here numerous times, always have received great service. Location is two
blocks from the parliament buildings and waterfront, at most. Rooms are well
appointed though rustic. Exercise facility is excellent, with a view of the
pool/spa.
Have stayed elsewhere but always come back when downtown in Victoria

Victoria Marriott Inner Harbour
We stayed in room 815 for two nights. We were impressed.
Starting with the location. You could not really get a better tourist spot, in
Victoria. With family and friends in Victoria, we have lived and visited here,
most of our lives. However, we do not spend a lot of time downtown. It was a
real joy to take a short walk down to the inner harbour. James Bay, the
Parliament buildings and the fantastic museum are all well within easy reach by
foot.
The front staff of the Victoria Marriott Inner Harbour helped make our stay a
pleasant experience. Check in was swift, everything was in order and there were
no surprises. The doorman always has information on what is trending right now –
what to see, do and where to eat (they will probably ask you about your
experiences, when you walk back in). |
