super8 sign on hotel hidden by trees when entering from Victoria. Quite dark in lounge, interior needs updating. Clean rooms. Complimentary breakfast only includes the most essential.

This was a really good Super 8.
Hugh at check in was very pleasant and helpful. Our room was very nice, clean and spacious. Jackie at check out was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was more than expected. The location was great for getting around Victoria. Overall a very good place to stay. I will go back.

Good for the Price
Our experience was pretty decent, elevator is scary, first room we got was a tad dirty but they were very helpful and got a clean asap. Front desk was helpful, they do lock their doors in the latter part of the evening so you may have to wait a few minutes if you are getting in from the Bar. Good Breakfast. Over all great Deal.

It will do
Nice older hotel, small & that includes the rooms . Wood structure so it's a little creaky. Almost empty my entire stay. The only time there was more than 5 cars in the parking lot was during the Sunday Brunch when the parking lot was full. It is not the Empress but the price is not the Empress either. Good choice for a base of operations, some where to come back to sleep. I would stay again.

Getting around
Victoria is a small city. If you have a car and a map / GPS nothing is more than about 20 minutes away. Note, Victoria's main parking lot company is almost criminal. I parked after 7 pm in a lot in China Town that I thought had closed for the day, no note of evening or overnight rates. I came back at 8 pm to a car that had been booted and was charged $80.00 on the spot to have the boot removed...

I chose Super8 because it was the cheapest place I could find near the downtown area.
I also has FREE breakfast, which is cereal, toast and bakery items. Also your juice, and hot drinks.
There is a heap of parking, which is shared with the pub and bottle shop all part of the same building.
I thought the outside looked really good, and the lobby looked nice too. The room I stayed in was a small room with a TV. It did look dated, but not dirty. The bathroom had all we needed.
If you're on a budget, you really can't beat this place. It's also across the road from ABC Country restaurant and a block or two from Dennys, so you can get a cheap dinner too.
It's also walking distance from Sharkys bar, and the Pallmall shopping centre. Bus stop right outside, and maybe a 5 - 10 minute ride into the downtown.
