Review of the Fairmont Empress Hotel Victoria

If you get a chance, and the price is right, stay at this hotel if only for one
night. The history of the place is amazing. Staff were VERY helpful and
courteous and went out of their way to see we were doing ok.
We were downgraded to a room with a pullout bed which was ok for a few nights,
but the free breakfast every morning was well worth it. (any longer on that bed
though my back would have never forgave me)
Very close to everything, beautiful view of the harbour, and the food in the
hotel restaurants was very well prepared and tasty. Just one point of interest,
be prepared to pay more....for everything, in the downtown Victoria area.

We stayed at the Empress for 4 nights in February. The hotel is wonderful, great
location, you can walk to alot of places in downtown Victoria.
Service is excellent, front desk check in was nice and quick and staff were
always friendly. Valet staff were quick and very knowledgeable, we took their
advise several times on attractions and restaurants.
Our room was very comfortable, we did not have a view of the harbour, but the
room was still really comfortable. The package we booked included breakfast and
it was great. service in the dining room was excellent and the food was very
tasty.
The pool and hot tub were very relaxing after a long day walking around town.
we would certainly stay here again.

We had only planned on staying for 1 night but loved this Hotel so much, love
Victoria and we stayed for a 2nd! Bedroom was luxurious, very well appointed,
great toiletries and very quiet. The bathroom was a little small but very clean.
The location is absolutely perfect with the most wonderful views of the harbour
and so close to everything.
Overall very enjoyable stay - so much that we extended the trip for another
night!

We popped in for a light lunch, service was timely and coffee great. The soup

Spent a night in a suite there and it is a pretty hotel in a great location and
the service is impeccable. Although it is an old hotel it still is beautiful and
worth staying in..breakfast is great as well and the views from windows are
priceless overlooking harbor..Bed is comfy and nice on the whole. |
