Review of the Royal Scot Suite Hotel Victoria
January 22, 2012
We stayed here for 2 nights in November. We loved being
close to the inner harbor and walking to restaurants,
the Royal BC museum. There was ample parking so having a
car was not a problem. The suite was perfect for our
party of 5 - lots of room for sleeping, and small and
amply stocked kitchen so we could breakfast in before
heading out for the day. The kids enjoyed the pool at
night.

We stayed one night at their special winter rates which
were more affordable. Their summer rates is another
issue. In any case the reservation officer when we
booked was excellent, and because of her flexibility we
stayed at the Royal Scot rather than our first 2
choices. At check in, the front desk officer was
excellent, proactively helpful and professional. The
suite was clean with nice extras such as umbrellas, and
dressing gowns. We utilized the free shuttle bus service
to go to dinner on a snowy miserable night. The service
and driver were excellent.

I travel to Victoria frequently for business and have
stayed at a lot of hotels. This is by far my new
favorite and I will be back! From the welcoming, helpful
staff at check in to my clean and spacious suite (with
free Wi-Fi), my stay was fantastic. Some of the rooms in
the hotel are pet friendly so I am excited to bring my
family back and the kids will be excited to learn that
we can bring the dog. It is always hard to find a
dog-sitter for a weekend so this is perfect. Can't wait
to come back!

We stayed in a one bedroom suite with king bed in
December 2011. We were 3 adults but the unit will easily
accommodate 2 couples. The bedroom is separate and there
is a sleeper couch in the living area which is quite
comfy. The unit had a full kitchen as well. The unit is
lovely and very neat and tastefully decorated. The staff
is very friendly and helpful. Parking is free. There is
a shuttle service to the downtown area - free of charge.
The hotel is just one block away from the inner harbour,
and almost next door to the parliament buildings - a
great location. We had breakfast in the restaurant and
it was good.
I was impressed with this hotel and can recommend it

It's an older hotel, but very well maintained. Nice
rooms, good indoor pool area, great staff and a great
location make this a very good option for those visiting
Victoria. We stayed for 2 nights on a Butchart Gardens
package, the rate was very reasonable. I recommend this
hotel for families visiting Victoria. |
