Hotel Review of the Fairmont Empress Hotel Victoria

We got a great deal including flights and accommodations through WestJet
Vacations. I've never stayed in a Fairmont before this so I can't compare to the
others but this one was very nice. We enjoyed wandering around the hotel and

We loved our brief time in Victoria (be sure to read my clipper review to learn
just how brief it was).
We booked a deal for a Fairmont king room, 2 afternoon teas at the empress, and
2 tickets to Butchart gardens for 209! Lovely hotel, tea was definitely an
experience, and the gardens were lovely too, even if we were a few weeks too
early. Parking is pricey (30/day) but location can't be beat...we walked from
the clipper terminal!
Concierge was extremely helpful and steered us to a great dinner and even gave
suggestions for alternate travel back to Seattle.
Highly recommend!

Love the gold floor at this hotel. The staff is very accommodating and caters to
all your needs. Rooms are large, and great when you are traveling with children.
Have stayed here many times and have always found it to be a pleasurable
experience.

I stayed here for the weekend with my husband and it was a pretty good hotel,
the hotel grounds are pretty nice. Our room was small but very nice, it was
clean and looked well maintained. I probably wouldn't stay here again as there
are many other hotels in Victoria that are nicer and in less of a tourist area.
It was fun to stay here once and experience it. They do have a nice tea time,
but make sure you bring appropriate clothing as there is a dress code.

Hotel room faced construction site. Was on Business so what can you expect for
free. Tried to change rooms but nothing else available.....really??? Will never
stay here again.....never. reminds me of a snake oil salesman
