Truth be told this should probably be a 4 star rating but given the fact I was
able to book a promo rate of $87/night, the value pushes it into the 5 star
rating for my stay. Well appointed high end rooms with the always great heavenly
beds and showers. Large flat screens in room and complimentary Starbucks coffee
with creamers in the fridge. Excellent full gym fitness facility and outdoor
heated pool and hot tub which were extremely refreshing even in 0 degree Celcius
weather. The only downsides to this hotel are the dubious resort fee of
$16/night for internet, parking, use of the fitness facility free local calls,
free incoming faxes in other words for stuff that should already be included in
the room rate. The location may be a plus or a minus as its about 30 minutes
from downtown Victoria. No included breakfast though that is standard for Westin
properties. All in all had a great stay and would love to come back esp at that
rate.

Spectacular location with 180 degree views from our huge, fourth floor, one
bedroom suite with enormous balcony. Dusk brings out deer grazing on the
fairways below. Fireplace, 2 flat screen TV's, a very well supplied full
kitchen, powder room plus large, full bathroom with separate soaker-tub and
large glass shower with heavenly double head. King sized bed was super
comfortable, with ample pillows and premium linens. The only noise we heard
noise was when the windows and patio doors were open in our room suite and the
adjacent room. Top notch, friendly service throughout. Outdoor pool and hot tub
located a short walk away in the athletic club. Onsite Sante Spa is sublime, a
terrific way to unwind and luxuriate while hubby plays the top rated Nicklaus
golf course. Take in the valley view from the mineral pool prior to treatment.
Enjoyed the views over a pitcher of Sangria in the Players Lounge before dining
in the new Italian Restaurant, Bella Montagna. "Family Service"; great food and
surprisingly reasonable. There is fine dining available in the Fairways building
as a grill in the Clubhouse building. All in all a terrific spot for a weekend
getaway for couples or families. Good idea to bring in grocery and beverage
staples, from Langford at the bottom of the mountain, as no provisionary onsite,
unless planning to use only room service, which can become pricey, especially
for a family. Room Tip: Golf course views are spectacular and very relaxing.

we only stayed here 1 night and wish we would have booked more nights. We had a
1 bedroom suite which was huge and amazing: 2 bathrooms, a huge living room with
a flat screen, fireplace, a full sized kitchen, another flat screen in the
bedroom with 2 outdoor patios. The property was new, immaculate and offered tons
of amenities including underground secured parking. This would be a great place
to make as a base camp for visiting the Victoria area. We only had 2 nights in
Victoria; we spent 1 night at the inner harbor so that we could walk around and
not worry about parking and the 2nd night at the Westin Bear Mountain. The
Westin is about 30 minutes from the inner harbor so it is a bit of a drive but a
great area outside of the city. We used it for a stop on our way further north
which was a great option and saved us from fighting morning rush hour traffic
trying to get out of Victoria.

I was volunteering for a company golf tournament and stayed for 3 days. I was in
the fairways building. The room was great, big, really big. The view of the golf
course was very pleasant as was sitting out on the balcony having coffee and
reading the paper. I cannot say I have much to complain about. The rooms are
clean and very comfortable. My wife ate a the restaurant and was really happy
with the price and quality of the food considering it is a hotel where prices
are usually inflated ( this may be because there is little choice in the area).
Victoria is not far away, there are wineries near by, touristy things to do and
of course a great golf course. The athletic centre is fantastic. Overall it is a
great place to indulge in nothingness, golf or an overpriced spa.
