With its unique “pepper shaker” tower, the hotel, overlooked the
Victoria’s Inner Harbour, and reflects the essence of Victorian-era art
and architecture.
The Victorian mansion, was smoke-free and offered wireless Internet
access in public spaces (surcharge), as well as complimentary parking.
Enjoyed the use of a fitness center, sauna, and oversized spa tub. The
extensively landscaped grounds are also home to an ice cream parlor,
beer/wine shop, coin laundry, scooter/bike rental, florist, and day spa.
Check out the Artisan’s Lane, located on the hotel’s property. The
numerous kiosks operated by local artists display and sell artworks and
crafts, including paintings, glasswork, jewelry, photography, quilts,
leather ware, and sculpture. Also the gardens and shops located on site,
including art stalls and an ice cream parlor, enhance the experience for
vacationing couples and families.

Close to everything, with wonderful views. Great restaurants on site.
The only drawback is there is no elevator so you have to carry your
luggage up stairs. Hotel staff did that on the way up but no one was
available on our departure. Even so, we would stay there again
Comfortable and clean

We stayed at the Gatsby Mansion and took the Victoria Clipper over from
Seattle on a day when the water was pretty rough. When we arrived we
were pleased to find that the Mansion was directly across the street
from where the Clipper docked. It is a beautiful Bed and Breakfast Inn.
The staff was most accommodating and anxious to help us in any way
possible. Because there are no elevators in such an historic landmark,
the wonderful staff offered to help us with our luggage. There were four
of us and we were all in the over 60 age group.

The location of the Mansion was such that we were able to walk to town,
to the Assembly Building and to the Empress Hotel. That was a wonderful
surprise.
The young people that are hired to work at the Gatsby are a credit to
the establishment and those who hire them are to be commended for a job
very well done.
Staying at the Gatsby was a pleasant experience for our family. We
enjoyed the taste of history, the wonderful cuisine and the excellent
service which all served to make the entire adventure a memorable one.

Stayed for one night
Gatsby has a great location and a great views of the harbor.
We enjoyed a delicious free breakfast with excellent service.
Also had the English Tea which was very authentic and was good value for
the money, $24.
Two words of caution:
Room Number 1 is above the kitchen.
The noise was quite annoying late at night and started again at 7am.
The staff did offer to move us, but we decided to stay in the room.
Also, Room 1 had no shower.
Other than the two cautions above, the Gatsby is a good choice.

Having never been to Victoria I wanted to treat my fiancé and I to a
romantic get-a-way. Based primarily on the location, I booked a stay at
the Gatsby Inn. It was a little more expensive which I thought would
translate into a quality place to stay. I was wrong. We could not shut
our bathroom window, which was broken and propped open with a piece of
wood. The breakfast was ok, but nothing special.
