The bed was super comfortable, the room was spacious and clean. I really
liked the light in the coat closet so you could see to hang up jackets,
etc.
Now the Great Pacific restaurant was something else. We arrived at the
restaurant for dinner at 6:56 . waited 45 minutes before we were served
our appetizer, the waiter mixed up the next part of the order, gave me
the soup and my spouse a salad, when we had both ordered each, had
another long wait for the main course. They offered us a free dessert
because of the awful service but when the bill arrived they charged us
for the dessert and 2 appetizers of which we had only one as we shared
it. They were not very good or quick about adjusting the bill. We
finally managed to leave the restaurant at 10:04 pm. Talk about slow
service. Any time we were served a dish, the waiter would ask us "How it
tasted?" I would stay at the hotel but would never eat there again. Too
pricey for the service you receive.

We spent 3 nights in Victoria as the backend of our Vancouver Island
trip.
It was my wife and I with our 11 month old daughter. The room was
spacious and the service at the hotel was great. This hotel is located
in the inner harbour so you are walking distance to a lot of nice
restaurants and cafes.
Take the effort to get to the Blue Fox Cafe. It is a bit of a walk
(20-25 minutes). We ended up eating there 3 times during our stay but
only walked there once.
Food in the hotel was good but there is better value in the restaurants
around the inner harbour,

My wife and 6 year old daughter stayed for three nights and had a
wonderful time. They gave my daughter a welcome package that included
some coloring pages and toys. There was also list of things to do in the
areas for young children. The rooms was very comfortable and spacious.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great
location. We took the Victoria Clipper from Seattle and the hotel was
right across the street from the terminal. Downtown Victoria is easily
accessible by walking. Very nice hotel!

We enjoyed the simple elegance of the hotel. Staff were friendly and
helpful. The room was pleasant and very quiet, even though our room was
next to the elevator. The elevators were cool...with a view of the
harbour. We loved this hotel and plan to stay again someday. We knew it
would be nice, but far exceeded our expectations!

We had a beautiful corner room overlooking the Legislative Building on
one side and the Inner Harbour on the other, it was great. Room service
was very fast and the food was great, the room was a little dated but
very Victoria, we loved it and will go back again. Best Location in
Victoria

We started staying at The Grand Pacific shortly after it opened and have
continued when we visit Victoria. It’s always been a positive
experience. The parking is easy, the rooms are clean and comfortable and
the employees are always friendly, and professional. We’ve eaten
breakfast in the restaurant and it’s been excellent. We always stay here
when in Victoria.

Without a doubt the best hotel in Victoria. I have stayed in the top
hotels here and this is number 1. This place beats the Empress, OPR and
the Marriot hands down. Not one bad thing to say.

This hotel was everything that people reviewed, good location on the
inner harbour, Rooms are clean and well appointed
Wonderful, helpful staff. My only concern was we took our granddaughters
with us and the restaurants in the hotel were not very kid friendly. The
concierge was most helpful in finding family oriented restaurants for us
to take the toddlers to. Definitely on my recommend list. Walking
distance to many of the local attractions. Great view from our room.
Very quiet hotel.

This is a large modern hotel with extremely comfortable rooms, and beds.
We had a residential view, but weren’t in the room much so it didn’t
matter. It was off season in Feb. and so the price was reasonable. The
Health Club is FANTASTIC! It has all the machines, weights, sauna, steam
room, hot tub and 25 meter pool which we used every day. The hotel is
centrally located downtown and everything is within easy walking
distance. We definitely will try to stay here again. This was a terrific
hotel!

We stayed for 3 nights with our 13 year old son and 16 year old
daughter. The Hotel Grand Pacific made our trip to Victoria a really
wonderful experience. From the friendly and helpful staff to the
incredible room, it was all a delight.
Great location, walk everywhere. Pool and fitness area good, and there
were squash courts for rent. The staff were very accomodating, even
making our ferry reservation We would go back! It rained the entire time
we were in Victoria, but with this hotel to go back to after an outing,
the weather just didn’t matter.

Very nice hotel, very convenient location to all of Victoria’s main
attractions and shopping. My second stay here. Staff are very friendly
and helpfull. Breakfast buffet is $22.00, good selection of food. Dinner
menu is not very extensive and not great for kids. Hotel has a fitness
area, pool, steam room and sauna in the basement of the hotel. Free
internet access in hotel room with a standard size desk for working on.
Hotel is equivalent to a Marriott in hotel setting, quality, room design
and furniture. Business centre in hotel for printing documents, etc.

Stayed in a suite here for Christmas 2008. Spacious and clean room.
Excellent staff. Very convenient location. One drawback is their shuttle
service to DT. They advertise it but every time I asked them about this,
they became very evasive and suggested me to take a cab instead.
Otherwise, it's one of the best hotels that I've stayed in Victoria!

The web reviews put this hotel on the top five, and I must say, it
definitely stands up to its ranking. The location is great (very close
to the main shopping street, restaurants and harbor), the room is very
clean, the bathroom is nice (2 sinks: 1 inside the bathroom and 1
outside), the gym and swimming pool are both excellent (and large), and
the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely
recommend this hotel to anyone i know.

This particular trip was a girl's shopping trip but I have also stayed
here with my children and also for a romantic getaway.
It is located right next to the Parliament Buildings in Victoria and our
request for a residential room was upgraded to one with a view of the
Inner Harbour. This was done without us requesting it and was
complimentary.
The beds were comfortable, the room was spotless and our stay was
wonderful.
The health club has all the workout facilities and the pool has hot tub,
sauna and steam room.
The location is great and you can very easily walk to the downtown area
from the hotel.
An added attraction is the very tame ducks that seem to live there.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone for anything.
