and it shows in the design and features of the Centre. You will be
struck by its comfort, its bright, airy spaces, welcoming atmosphere and
technological capabilities. Step inside and allow the open plaza and
magnificent entry foyer to greet you. Then discover over 40,000 square
feet of function rooms designed to facilitate regional, national and
international conventions, corporation and association meetings, trade

- The glazed canopy over our Douglas Street entrance was designed to
echo the Empress Conservatory.
- The distinctive glass half-wheel fanlight above the entrance doors
has become so clearly identified with the centre that it is now a part
of our logo.
- A lush sub-tropical scene is set in the lower atrium, with such
plants as Amazon lilies, Birds' Nest ferns, Bromeliads and Staghorn
fern.
- Four spectacular pieces of
First
Nations art grace our centre, including three totem poles and a
large-scale Spindle Whorl.
